Gongs Hockey Club is proud to announce that nine of our members have been selected to represent South Africa at the 2026 Masters Hockey World Cup, taking place in the Netherlands and Belgium during July and August 2026.
Each of these players has earned their selection through sustained commitment — months of training, personal sacrifice, and a level of performance that has put them among the best in their age groups in the country. The entire Gongs family is behind them.

The Cost of Getting There
Representing your country is one of the greatest honours in sport — but it comes with a significant personal price tag. Each player is facing costs in excess of R50,000, covering international travel, accommodation, tournament entry, training camps, and kit. For many, this is a once-in-a-career opportunity, and the club is committed to helping make it possible.
Support the Raffle — Help Get Them There
As part of our fundraising drive, Gongs HC is hosting a raffle to help offset these costs. We are reaching out to businesses and community members for contributions of raffle prizes — anything from products and vouchers to experiences and services is warmly welcomed.
Businesses who contribute will receive recognition on our social media platforms, inclusion in event marketing material, and acknowledgement at the raffle draw.
